BAROCKETMAN
March 5th, 2010 Posted in Artwork, News | Add a Comment »The not-terribly-mysterious Flash Gordon project is, of course, taking longer than I had imagined. I’m squeezing in time for it where I can and it’s certainly coming along, but I realize I can’t let it be the only art I produce, lest this blog languish and my skills grow rusty.
So here, fine ladies and gents, is a tribute to my love of wordplay. I give you, “BAROCKETMAN.”
Long time no see!
January 23rd, 2010 Posted in Artwork | Add a Comment »Hi all!
December was a wacky month, what with the holidays, the snow, and the H1N1 I not-so-happily endured for a week (not to mention the long-lingering hacking cough).
But now we’re well into 2010, and things are looking up! This mysterious Flash Gordon project is starting to really gel on my end. For your ears, I present a clip from the project’s music, specifically the section I featured a little while back. This is very much a rough draft. I’ll be rerecording the voices soon and then mastering them to sound all super-awesome and such.
Okay folks, just hit the play button below. Enjoy!

New Project – Preview 1
November 10th, 2009 Posted in Artwork | 2 Comments »So I’ve begun working on what amounts to the biggest project I’ve taken on in the last year and a half. I’m keeping it semi-secret. I realized that if I didn’t post anything regarding this thing until it was done, I’d have a dead blog for two or so months. So, I’ll be posting little preview bits here and there as I go. Here’s #1:
Celebrating one month of handmade books
October 24th, 2009 Posted in Art & Design, Artwork, News | Add a Comment »A break from the usual programming: Monday, October 26 marks one month since Mel opened her business selling handmade sketchbooks. If you weren’t already aware of these incredibly gorgeous pieces of meticulous craftsmanship, then it’s time you checked out her store. The books are hand-bound and made with soft genuine leather and paper of the highest quality.
To celebrate one month of open store doors, we cooked a delicious dinner of garlic mashed potatoes and pork tenderloin with cranberry, almond and sage sauce, topped off with locally made sparkling apple cider. Delish!
